Over the years word of mouth has been our businesses best advertising. The second best form of advertising has been our web site. You can tell your customers so much more about your business than a newspaper ad or tv commercial ever will. Its always there. The customer can go back to the web site over and over again if needed. You can take sales and process credit card sales with your site. You can provide instructional videos for your customers. Can print advertising or television advertising do this, not even close. The web is the future and the future is here now.

The beauty of the web site is you reach the entire world for the price of the site+ your monthly hosting bill which is usually around $25-$35.00 depending on what kind of site you have. What other form of advertising allows you to reach the world for these prices? We have visitors from Canada to the U.K. to China. We have coresponded with folks from Sweden to China to Scotland to New Mexico. There is no denying how powerful the web is and can be!

I keep on reading of accounts from business owners that say Twitter and Facebook took them from 25 k to 25 m overnight. Judging from my past month or two of using FB I think it is important to have a different page for personal/family stuff than the stuff you have for your business. The content gets a little muddy and off the topic.

Chris Tomlinson at Gonink Design and Print saved us from an unreliable web site designer and host. On top of that he took my ideas for our new website further resulting in a top notch site as good as anyone else in our industry if not better. Thanks Chris
